In addition to being a family pet, many dog owners
will choose the breed of a German Shepherd Dog for another purpose. This additional purpose is to be a protector of
themselves, their family and loved ones, home, property and business.
Several owners of our dogs obtained them to protect their
teenage daughters while jogging. Numerous owners have
obtained a dog from us for these protective reasons! The
breed of the German Shepherd Dog is naturally protective and
is easily known and recognized by the general public for
it's courageous and steadfast abilities.

and Poses An Intimidating Threat To An Intruder
(Threat Dog)
This dog's job
is to pose a threat in addition to an
alarm to announce any person or animal
that is approaching. This dog is usually
a larger breed, and will stand it's ground
rather than bark and run away. These
dogs are considered intimidating and act
as a deterrent.
III. An Intruder Stopper
(Man-Stopper)
This dog is
not only an Alarm and Threat Dog, its
job is to stop an intruder by being
willing to fight. This dog must be a
formidable opponent. When you admit
someone or something into your home,
this dog should respect your judgment,
yet remain alert. To be an Intruder
Stopper and not a liability, this dog
will always requires
obedience training and usually IPO/Schutzhund training. This type of
dog requires it's handler or
master/s to be in control at
all times.
The Attack Trained Dog
This dog is trained to attack intruders,
and violators often on command of it's
master or handler. This dog is used to
guard and patrol areas with or without
it's handler and if necessary, chase and
secure the intruder. These type of dogs
have all 3 of the Natural Protector
qualities, but be willing to chase,
fight, subdue and dominate it's
opponent. These type of dogs are usually
IPO/Schutzhund trained dogs. These dogs
are often used by Police and Law
Enforcement, Department of Defense and Military, Border Security,
Homeland Security, Investigative
Agencies as the FBII, and private
Building Security and Protection
companies.
Many of these dogs are Multi-Purpose
Canines. These dogs additionally may be
trained in scent detection for guns,
ammunitions, explosives, narcotics,
biological agents, tracking missing
persons,
suspects, fleeing criminals, and cadaver searching.
Fun Fact: The Department of Defense
and Department of Homeland Security sourced up to 90 percent of their
dogs from European breeders, one of our few vital security needs
that was once effectively outsourced.
Not so any longer because they were needed in their own countries
and our country cannot rely on foreign
countries for its national security. Domestic American breeders are now stepping up to begin breeding protection and detection dogs.
